Time Again

We all encounter moments like this...

When all you want is to curl under a blanket with countless pillows at your beck and call. To listen to the tunes that make you smile no matter what (and over and over again at that!).

Well tonight is a bit of that.

Now don't fret, all is good! And I would like to thank the songs below for that. :)

"What A Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong

"Somewhere Over the Rainbow" by Norah Jones

And last but not the least.....

"Blackbird" by The Beatles

Whether it's their melody, lyrics or purity, these songs have become my beacons to skipping unnecessary thoughts. :)

Now remember....

Black, Blue, Birds Up High

These days I seem to end up listening to the same song over and over again. I ride in tune (though not tonality-wise) when certain songs I find interesting and upbeat (or low) play but, I always find my way back towards the one same song I always choose to hear.

Weird isn't it, when there are like a million other songs out there to listen to? Especially with the proximity and the chances of learning new tunes via internet, television and the radio. Hmm. I wonder what's up.

I've gotten so addicted to the song that I connect it to everything! As in EVERYYYYTHING.

No exageration, really.

From the thoughts in my head, to the idea of flying, to keeping the title of my blog "SOAR" (instead of my name), to the design of my next tattoo, facebook and blog headers, all the way to artworks I search online!

Crazy isn't it? And there's no logical explanation why.

Even before I got addicted to the song, I get that birds signify triumph and of attaining the top, of looking positively into life and reaching the sky. I loved the concept so much that I even adapted my first tattoo on the whole idea. But one same song? I'm nuts.

Anyhow, here's the song I've been gagging about for several paragraphs now. First is the original version by the Beatles, followed by Sarah McLachlan then Glee:

The Beatles

The original version of the Beatles is so mellow and relaxing. It's the type of song you can really listen to on both good and bad days, whether you want to hit a wall or jump up high.

Sarah McLachlan

I like how Sarah McLachlan's version though high is too, also very soothing to the ear. The way she sang the song reminds me of how I feel whenever I hear "Somewhere Over The Rainbow". :)

Glee Cast

Oh Glee, I've never really been a fan of the series but I they can really do justice to the songs that they remake and, their version of "Blackbird" for me, fits the bill. :)

Hope you didn't get sick of my yabbering! :)

Currently pledged myself to a sabbatical away from certain things, work none the less but that aspect will have to  experience some delay....
